I’ve wanted to post about this for a while now, but this is the perfect excuse. For a very brief period of time you can get this “special edition” Sharpie that writes in Helvetica (all you need is a lot of practice).
The pen comes as a souvenir with the purchase of the actual film which I believe is a true work of art by itself and the perfect gift for any passionate about graphic design. The documentary is made by Pleix Films, the guys behind that Moog documentary which I also love, and an long list of awesome DVDs.
Helvetica is all about typography (duh!), the way it was conceived, and how much it has influenced designers around the world, all in the words of true masters like Erik Spiekermann, Neville Brody, Matthew Carter, Paula Scher and many many more. If you are somehow into design, this is a must see!
