Blip. Twitter for music

It’s been over a year since I’ve been using Twitter, and I couldn’t be happier. It has become by far my favorite web startup, and my number 1 tool for PR.

Also, it became pretty big in the last few months, and a lot of similar startups have popped out here and there, but this one I think I could use alright. It’s called Blip, and it’s service from Fuzz.com, a social website focused on music:

FUZZ is a new breed of music company — combining a powerful artist promotion platform, a feature-rich interactive community of artists and fans, and a next-generation music label. [...] The Fuzz community enables independent-minded fans to discover, share, review and buy music in an interactive forum that encourages participation.

Instead of asking you “What are you doing?“, Blip asks you “What are you listening to?“, and then searches your query on it’s data base, so that you can preview and select the song that matches to the one you are actually listening. Then you can add a small description for your post, and then share it.

As I hoped before registering, you are able to share this with a number of social networks and of course… Twitter, posting a quick link like this one. A very cool website (and service) if you are really into music, and love sharing info.
